Welcome to Tailwarden! This guide will help you get started and make the most of our platform's features. Let's dive into the steps:

Step 1: Connect your account

To access data on Tailwarden, connecting a cloud account is essential. You might have done this during onboarding, but it's always good to revisit and ensure everything is set up correctly. Remember, there are two critical steps:

  1. Collecting cloud resources: This step involves linking your cloud accounts to Tailwarden to start gathering data on your cloud resources.

  2. Granular insights on costs: The second step focuses on cost data. Initiate this early, as it can take up to 24 hours for cloud providers to deliver detailed cost data.

Step 2: Get a first overview of your entire infrastructure with the dashboard

This detailed guide will help you go through the dashboard, packed with insights on your entire infrastructure! But in a nutshell, you can already see here:

  • The most expensive resources or services over different periods of time

  • The cost evolution of your entire cloud infrastructure

  • The first part of your tag audit

Step 3: Discover the inventory

The inventory tab is where Tailwarden's capabilities truly shine. Here, you'll find all resources from your connected cloud accounts, along with a powerful filtering system to manipulate the data. For a comprehensive understanding of the inventory, filters, and views, check out this detailed guide.
