Introduction

Creating dashboards is incredibly useful for monitoring and analyzing data, but starting from scratch can be daunting. Tailwarden simplifies this process with pre-built templates, allowing you to kickstart your dashboard creation with structured layouts and predefined widgets.

This feature not only saves time but also ensures you're immediately on track with a professional setup tailored to specific cloud management needs.

How to Import Templates

Importing a template into your Tailwarden account is straightforward. Watch the short video below for a visual guide, or follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the 'Reports' section in your Tailwarden dashboard.

  2. Click on "New Report."

  3. Select "Browse Templates" to view available options.

  4. Choose a template that fits your needs and click on "Import Template."

Please note, you will need to import a template before you can modify any of its widgets.

Description of Current Templates

Tailwarden currently offers four key dashboard templates, each designed to cater to different aspects of cloud resource management:

  1. Invoice Dashboard

    • Use Case: Universal across all CSPs, this dashboard helps you monitor billing and invoice data, making it easier to track expenses and understand cost distribution.

  2. Compute Dashboard

    • Use Case: Focused on AWS, this template provides insights into compute resources costs, helping you optimize those expenditures.

  3. Storage Dashboard

    • Use Case: Specific to AWS, track costs from data storage resources.

  4. Network Dashboard

    • Use Case: Exclusive to AWS, this dashboard allows you to monitor network traffic, usage patterns, and associated costs, essential for maintaining efficient and cost-effective network operations.

Each template is currently optimized for AWS, except for the Invoice Dashboard, which is applicable across multiple CSPs, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. These templates serve as a starting point, from which you can further customize your dashboard to better fit your specific monitoring and management requirements.
