The Challenge: Finding a lambda with one information - its name
In this second round, we tackle the task of finding a resource when we only have its name and the type of resource.
AWS Method:
Steps to find a lambda:
Open AWS Lambda.
Type the name of the lambda and press Enter.
Pray for the resource to appear. It doesn't. π
Ok you're in eu-west-3, let's look for other regions.
Change to eu-west-1.
Type the name of the lambda and press Enter.
Pray for the resource to appear. It doesn't. π π
Change to eu-west-2
Type the name of the lambda and press Enter.
Pray for the resource to appear. It doesn't. π π π
Change to eu-central-1
Type the name of the lambda and press Enter.
Pray for the resource to appear. It doesn't. π π π π
Change to ap-south-1 while you're sure there are no resources here π
It's here and it's the only lambda.
Realize that you have wasted a lot of money in AWS data transfer and you should transfer it to your main region.
Don't do it because you don't have the time.
